Winter Sports season begins this week in SWKS

No more waiting. The next season has come upon us.

Like December decided to sneak into the calendar just three days after Thanksgiving, the High School Winter Sports season will get underway this week, with basketball games and wrestling invitationals dotting the schedule.

Some teams have already held their preview nights or alumni scrimmages, while others will do so in quick order - Ulysses will hold their preview night tonight for basketball and wrestling, while Dodge City and Goodland, among others, will show off their teams on Tuesday.

The first night of hoop action will be on Friday, while the first big wrestling tournaments will take place on Saturday.

We'll share the complete schedule for both sports later this week, as well as look at some of the teams from the area.
