Monday VB scores, Tuesday Schedule

The week in volleyball in Southwestern Kansas managed to start early on Monday, as both Liberal and Colby played in a quad at Hays.

The Redskins picked up two wins in their three matches, and all three went the 3-set distance. Colby was the only one of the teams to beat Liberal in the quad. The Redskins beat Hays and Phillipsburg in close matches, while Colby was swept by both squads.

Tuesday's slate begins with a Santa Fe Trail League Tri in Rolla, as Moscow and Deerfield will play the host Pirates. With less than two weeks before regional play begins in Class 1A, it's one of those chances for teams to improve their records before the playoffs begin.

Here's the schedule for this week, which includes a rare Friday head-to-head match:

- Deerfield, Moscow at Rolla

- Cimarron, Meade, Sublette at Stanton County

- Syracuse, Wichita County, Elkhart at Lakin

- Goodland, Rawlins County, Hitchcock Co. Neb. at Decatur County

- Greeley County, Wallace County, Quinter at Dighton

- Hays-TMP at Ulysses

- Colby, Goodland, Scott Community at Holcomb

- Dodge City, Ulysses at Garden City

- Lakin, Guymon, OK at Hugoton

- Elkhart at Syracuse

- Garden City at McPherson Tournament

- Lakin, Norton Community at Scott Community Invite

- Liberal at Derby Tournament
