Kpreps football polls - Beavers stay in 3A Top 5
The latest Kpreps high school football rankings were released late Sunday, and there were only subtle changes in the poll for area teams.
Scott City (Scott Community) stayed at No. 5 this week in the Class 3A poll, despite struggling a bit offensively against Holcomb. The Beavers managed to score two second-half touchdowns to beat the Longhorns, 14-3. Through their first two games, Scott City has outscored their opponents, 28-3.
Colby did join the ranks of teams getting looked at and considered for the rankings, joining the "others considered" list in Class 3A this week, Other Southwestern Kansas schools which are also considered this week included Dodge CIty (6A), Cimarron and Lakin (both Class 2A), and Wichita County (8-man Division I).
