Two of the better teams playing 8-man football in the state of Kansas are set to collide this week, and one of them is ranked in the latest KPreps Kansas High School Football rankings.

Scott City fell out of the 3A ranks with a loss this past weekend to Russell.

The other area teams to be mentioned have something in common - they all have 4-1 records. Dodge City and Garden City in Class 6A, Holcomb in Class 3A and Cimarron in Class 2A all earned mentions in their respective classes' poll this week.

Dodge City bounced back from its first loss of the season with a 31-14 win at Great bend. Garden City cruised to a 49-0 win at home over Liberal. Holcomb raced past Larned, 58-0, and Cimarron rolled to an 60-12 road win at Syracuse.
