Girls BB: Stum, Syracuse run past Wiley
Margo Stum scored 17 points, including the first eight of the third quarter to key a Lady Bulldog run that gave Syracuse control of the game in a 62-36 win over Wiley at Herndon Gym on Tuesday.
Stum and Syracuse (10-4) took a four-point lead at halftime and outscored the Lady Panthers (10-5) 35-13 in the second half to take down the win. Carly Kullot added 11 points for Syracuse.
Macey Rowan led all scorers for Wiley with 22 points, 12 of which she scored in the first quarter. The Lady Panthers led by as much as seven points before Syracuse rallied and held a 27-23 lead at halftime.

Weskan 44, Northern Valley 31
Jaycee Allen scored 21 points to lead the Coyotes to the consolation semifinal win in the Western Kansas Liberty League tournament. Weskan (6-9) will play for 5th place on Friday at 6 pm at the Colby Community Building.
Elkhart 36, Stanton County 26
The Wildcats used a strong defensive effort in the second quarter - outscoring the Lady Trojans, 12-0 - to pick up a key Sub-State and Hi-Plains League win. Jenni Forbes and Carrie Runkle each scored eight points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Elkhart (13-3) to the win. Stanton County falls to 9-5 with the setback.
Hugoton 59, Ulysses 18
The freshman duo of Mikyn Hamlin and Gianna Vos, and a stellar defensive effort in the second half, led the Lady Eagles to the win on Tuesday over Ulysses.
Hugoton (8-4) led 18-6 at end of the first quarter and 27-14 at halftime. That's as close as it would get, however, as the Lady Tigers (1-13) was limited to one field goal and two free throws for the remainder of the contest.
Hamlin led all scorers with 16 points, while Vos chipped in with 11 for the Lady Eagles.
Colby 56, Norton 32
Brooklyn Jones led three Lady Eagles in double figures with 16 points as Class 3A No. 6 Colby overcame a slow start to roll past Norton.
Colby (13-1) outscored Norton, 32-12, in the second half and received 13 points from Emma Curry and 12 more from Hallie Vaughn in the victory.
Goodland 57, Burlington CO 41
Taige Weeter scored 17 points, leading three Cowgirls in double figures, as Goodland (7-8) used a quick start - outscoring the Cougars, 17-4, in the opening quarter to spark a victory over Burlington.
Dodge City 52, Garden City 38
Chidera Okoro and Camree Johnson each scored 13 points as Dodge City (11-4) hit 44 percent from the floor in picking up a key Western Athletic Conference win at home over Garden City.
Symone Simmons scored 10 points - on 4-of-5 shooting - and Amaya Gallegos added nine for the Buffaloes (8-6).
