Updated: Feb 9, 2020
The Hugoton girls knew that if they were going to make noise in Class 3A basketball this season, they would have to get it done against the likes of Scott Community and Colby.
Less than 24 hours after knocking off the Lady Beavers, the Lady Eagles took care of the other team on the list, and moved into a tie for first in the Great West Activities Conference.

While Hugoton outscores Colby in the fourth, 11-7, Mikyn Hamiln was held to just two free throws in the final stanza. Jordyn Beard, who finished with six points, scored all of her points in the final eight minutes, while McKenna Hamlin, who was held scoreless for much of the game, hit a 3-pointer to add to the total.
