GC climbs to #4 in KVA Class 6A Volleyball Poll
Fresh off of another pair of wins on Tuesday, and before facing a meat-grinder of a schedule over the next three days, Garden City volleyball slid up a spot in the latest rankings released by the Kansas Volleyball Association.
The Buffaloes (14-0) now prepare for a gauntlet on Thursday and Saturday. On Thursday, Garden City will travel to Wichita Heights for a quadrangular where they will face Heights (5-19), Wichita South (1-23) and Maize South. Maize South, who won the Liberal Tournament earlier this season, is 21-0 and ranked No. 5 in Class 5A.
On Saturday, the Lady Buffs travel to Lawrence where they will compete in a 6-team round-robin tournament. They will face the host Lions (5-12) - the defending Class 6A champions - as well as Class 6A No. 1 Blue Valley (14-4), Blue Valley West (8-10), Olathe Northwest (6-7) and Manhattan (8-11).
