Garden City, Ulysses crack VB Pre-Season Top 10s
Updated: Sep 11, 2019
Two Southwestern Kansas high school volleyball teams start the 2019 season in the Kansas Volleyball Association Top 10 Pre-Season Polls, which were released this week.
Garden City, who posted a 28-13 mark and made the Class 6A State Volleyball Tournament last fall, starts the new season ranked 9th in the pre-season polls. The Buffaloes lost just one senior to graduation from the state tourney squad, and most of their top contributors return this season.
Ulysses starts the 2019 campaign with the No. 8 slot in the pre-season polls. The Tigers ended up just short of a state tourney bid last season, but posted a 33-5 record, and have one of the best setters in the state returning in senior Avery Ysac.
