Friday Scores - Sub-State
The first team from Southwestern Kansas has punched their ticket to the State Basketball Tournament, and it's a team that is making a repeat trip.
Liberal (22-0) used a 15-point night from Mikayla Mullens and Katie Hornya, who scored 14 points, passed the 1,000-point mark for her career, in a 53-33 win over Manhattan at The Big House on Friday.
The Lady Red will be making their third straight appearance in the state tournament. The Class 6A Tournament will begin on Wednesday at Koch Arena, on the campus of Wichita State University.
