Football Rankings are out for Week 2
Both the Best of Kansas and K-Preps released their latest high school football rankings on Tuesday. Several area teams earned consideration for the polls, and one was ranked in the Top 5 in both polls - Scott Community.
The Beavers held the No. 4 spot once again in the Best of Kansas Class 3A poll, while they were ranked 5th in the KPreps poll.
Dodge CIty (6A), Cimarron, Lakin (both 2A) and Wichita County (8-man DI) were listed among the other teams considered in both polls. Liberal, who snapped a 9-game losing streak in beating Guymon, Oklahoma last Friday, earned consideration for the Best in Kansas Class 5A poll.
