Dodge City heads to 6A Boys Soccer Quarterfinals

Diego Olivares set up goals from Alan Lopez and Eric Martinez, and the Dodge City defense managed to keep Wichita-Southeast off the scoreboard, as the Red Demons picked up a 2-0 win in the Class 6A West Region #3 Final at Memorial Stadium on Thursday.
Dodge City (15-3) advances to the State Quarterfinals, where they will face Wichita-Heights, a 3-2 winner over Derby, on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Lopez scored in the first half on a beautiful pass from Olivares to get the Red Demons on the board. Martinez registered his tally in the second half, taking another Olivares feed and beating the Golden Buffaloes (11-3-4) defense to push the edge to 2-0.
The Red Demons will host Heights (14-3-1) at Memorial Stadium. Dodge City lost to Wichita-Heights, 4-3 in overtime, back on September 5.
