Dodge City Boys Soccer cruises to win
Alan Lopez scored four times, including the go-ahead goal in the first half, as Dodge City rolled to a 9-1 win over Wichita South on Tuesday at Memorial Stadium.
Lopez's game-winner was sandwiched between a pair of tallies from Mervedia Ngonkolo in the first half, after the Red Demons (4-1) spotted South a 1-0 lead early in the match. Dodge then scored six times in the second half, including a natural hat trick from Lopez and two more markers by Erik Martinez, to pull away. Diego Olivares added a tally for the Red Demons.
The Red Demons next play in Lamar, Colorado, against the Savages. Kickoff for the varsity contest is set for 5:30 pm CDT.
