CIK Top 10s - Garden City, Weskan debut in polls
In the latest Catch It Kansas high school football polls, two Southwestern Kansas made their debuts, while two others stayed in the Top 10 of their respective classes.
Garden City was one of three teams to crack the Top 10 this week in Class 6A, checking in at No. 10. The Buffaloes are 3-1 on the season, and are coming off of a surprise road win at previously unbeaten Hays. They knocked WAC rival Dodge City out of the Top 10.
In 6-Man, Weskan takes Moscow's place in the poll at No. 5. The Coyotes (3-1) knocked off then No. 3 Cheylin last week, while Moscow lost at Ashland, who tops the 6-Man poll.
In 8-Man Division I, the area sees two teams ranked - Wichita County (3-1) and Meade (4-0). The Indians held on to the No. 5 slot, while the Buffaloes are ranked ninth in this week's poll, down two notches from last week despite winning comfortably at Spearville.
