CIK FB Poll - Six SWKS teams earn rankings

The Catch it Kansas High School Football polls were released Monday, and six area teams earned a spot in their respective classes Top 10s.

Leading the way is Class 3A, where Scott City held onto the No. 3 spot once again this week, and Colby slid up a notch to 9th. The Class 2A poll also features two area teams, but one of them will likely not be in the Top 10 after this week, as No. 7 Lakin plays at 8th-ranked Cimarron this Friday.

Dodge City holds down the No. 8 spot in the Class 6A poll, while Wichita County jumps two spots to No. 5 in the 8-man Division I rankings. The Indians from Leoti will be among the teams facing a stiff test this week, as they will play at No. 4 St. Francis on Friday.

Other games involving ranked teams in the CIK polls - Dodge City hosts Hays, Scott City will host Beloit in a key district contest, and Colby also plays in district against Russell (0-5).
