Border Wars will be aired on radio and online next week
The 2019 version of the Border Wars will be aired by KVAY-FM and KLMR-FM of Lamar, CO next week. All 24 games from Barney Akers Gymnasium and Herndon Gym will be broadcast and most games will also be available online.
The Kansas teams include the host Syracuse squads, as well as Stanton County, Greeley County and Elkhart. The Colorado teams involved are Eads, McClave, Walsh and Granada.
The team to watch from the Colorado side would be the Walsh boys, who come in preseason ranked in the CHSAA Class 1A Top 10.
The games will be broadcast by Cory Forgue, Amy Jacobs, Brandon Wilson and Southwest Preps Content Editor Ben Catley. Catley will also be broadcasting a handful of games involving teams from Southwestern Kansas against Southeastern Colorado schools during the regular season.
