1A Regional Brackets set, boys play Monday, girls Tuesday
Let the post-season runs begin for Class 1A high school basketball teams in Southwestern Kansas.
KSHSAA has announced the brackets for the Class 1A Boys and Girls Basketball Regional Tournaments, which will each qualify its top two teams to advance to the Sub-State Round. The Boys Regionals begin on Monday, while the Girls Regionals will begin on Tuesday.
Seeding is based on the team records as of February 22.
In the Greeley County Boys Regional, Wallace County will play at Weskan tonight, while Cheylin heads to Greeley County. St. Francis and Triplains/Brewster earned the first-round byes.
Deerfield has earned the top seed in the Kinsley Regional, and will play in Kinsley against the winner of the Ness City-Ingalls game on Thursday.
In the Rolla Regional, Rolla will play at Satanta, while Fowler will play at Moscow. South Gray and Meade earned the first-round byes.
In all cases, the semifinals and region title game will be played at the host site, with the Boys Semifinals played on Thursday, and the Region Championship played Saturday.
On the girls side, St. Francis and Cheylin earned first-round byes in the Greeley County Regional, while Greeley County heads to Weskan, and Triplains/Brewster travels to Wallace County on Tuesday.
In the Kinsley Regional, Deerfield will look for its first win of the season at Hodgeman County on Tuesday.
In the Rolla Regional, South Gray and host Rolla earned the first-round byes. Satanta heads to Moscow and Fowler travels to Meade for the first-round games on Tuesday.
The girls region semifinals will be played on Friday, with the Region Championship will be played on Saturday.
